Have you heard? Rock star blogger, Joy Cho of Oh, Joy! has a new book coming out called Blog, Inc. – I can’t wait to read it! Unfortunately, we are all going to have to wait until it is released on September 19, but it’s available for preorder on Amazon now. In the meantime, check out these other great books for bloggers and creatives.

1. Blogging for Creatives by Robin Houghton, $13
This book seems like a great overview of blogging for those running creative businesses. It covers everything from naming your blog and finding your niche to promoting and monetizing your blog. Bloggers new and old can learn lots!
2. Creative, Inc. by Joy Cho and Meg Mateo Ilasco, $12
Joy’s first book, cowritten with Meg Mateo Ilasco, walks you through the basics of starting and running a creative business. I have heard endless good things about this book from bloggers and creatives. Want to turn your freelance dreams into reality? This book is great inspiration.
3. The Handmade Marketplace by Kari Chapin, $11
Thinking about starting your own handmade business? This book looks like a great place to start, written by someone with experience starting, running, and growing her own business. This book also features the writing of Grace Bonney from Design*Sponge and Holly Becker of Decor8, two well-established bloggers who know how to turn their blogs into businesses.
4. The Crafter’s Guide to Taking Great Photos by Heidi Adnum, $17
I first heard about this book from my friend Isa, and it’s still on my “why haven’t you bought this yet?” list! This book includes some fabulous tips for crafters, handmade business owners, and any blogger looking to improve their photography chops. This book would definitely be helpful for bloggers who want to improve their DIY tutorials!
5. PR + Marketing for Bloggers by Kaelah Bee (eBook), $25
What better way to learn than to hear it from someone who’s been there? Kaelah of the popular blog Little Chief Honeybee shares tips on how to market your blog and grow your reach.
6. Blog Wonderful by Dana Fox (eBook), $25
Dana from The Wonder Forest shares the lessons she has learned during her time as a blogger and web designer.
Bonus: How to Make Money Blogging by Crystal Paine (eBook), free!
Have a blog and want to learn how to monetize it? This free eBook by the creator of the blog Money Saving Mom is a great place to start.

Ive been blogging for a while now. I’m always on the lookout for a good blogging book. Like others, I’m excited about Blog, Inc.

One of my favorite blogging books to date is: 31 Days to Finding Your Blogging Mojo by Bryan Allain. I’ve found that its a great pick-me-up book whenever I feel like I’m having “blogger burnout”.
Thank you for this great list of books for bloggers. Definitely adding these to my “must-read” list

Well this is the most useful post I’ve read in a while! I’ve just read another one called Blogging your way to the Front Row too. Very good – if a little hardcore – recommends charging for every single thing you do. However, worth a read and very useful for learning SEO tips and basic ‘how to generate traffic’ type stuff. xx
