Apologies for the sporadic posting for the next several weeks as I prepare for my move across the country! It is big and scary and exciting, and I hope to share lots of it with you all! I’m not sure exactly how much internet access I will have as we travel but expect tons of Twitter and Instagram updates.
Our tentative route has us passing through Cedar City, Denver, Omaha, Chicago, Cleveland, and Philadelphia, before finally arriving in Boston, so I welcome any suggestions for sights to see, hotels to crash in, and road trip tips!

NB the masthead on your blog looks a bit odd.
Think the wrong image is in there?

I just did the opposite trip! I drove from Michigan to Southern California! It’s actually not as bad as it sounds. Promise.
I did the opposite trip in January, drove from Cleveland to Southern California.
Stop by the West Side Market in Cleveland, on 25th st not far off I90. Open MWF and Sat.
Also several great museums in Cleveland: Art Museum, Natural History Museum, Great Lakes Science Center and The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Enjoy your new adventure!
Have a good move! If you go through Indianapolis, hit me up and we can get coffee and talk about blogging! =]

Have a great adventure – how fun!!!! I work and live in Denver. The weather is perfect and downtown is awesome… enjoy!!! Our Denver Library, art museum are at the Civic Center downtown and are world famous architecture and a must see. When downtown there is a creek/canal that runs through the city and is worth a walk especially downtown going west to Confluence Park… lots of bikes, kayaks, boats…

I am in Denver too! You should hit up Sweet Action (1st and Broadway) for some yummy Ice Cream. They make all kinds of interesting flavors. There’s also a super cute craft boutique across the street, Fancy Tiger! Have fun on your cross country move!

glad to hear you are passing through my hometown of cleveland! enjoy the beautiful lake views towards the end of summer.. visit edgewater park, tremont area, great lakes brewing company or there are some cool restaurants on east 4th!
Welcome (back) to Boston soon! I’ve had a few friends who lived here for college and then relocate to the west coast recently move back. I’ve thought of moving west for a couple of years, but with everyone I know moving back, I’m not so sure. Time will tell hopefully.

This is our second week after moving from Washington State to Florida with our five kids and HUGE German Shepherd dog. It took eight days because our Penske truck kept breaking down.
My advice: do not stay at Super8 because they are independently owned and there aren’t any standards. My toddlers got bed bugs in one that looked clean…La Quinta Inn, Best Western and Dury Inns were the cleanest, best free breakfast and reasonably priced.

Thank you so much, Christina, this is really helpful! We will look to stay in those hotels – our roadtrip two years ago turned up some really GROSS motels and I want to try to avoid that!
Very best of luck with the move xxx

For Philly fun:
Take a yoga class at Dhyana Yoga
Try a cupcake (or the buffalo portabella sandwich and sweet potato fries) at Hip City Veg
Stroll through Rittenhouse Square (better yet, take your cupcake to go and eat it there)
La Colombe is the spot for rich French coffee
Check out the cute boutiques along third street in Old City-between Race and Market
Have fun!

Congrats on the big adventure east. Seems I have a lot of west coast buddies going east. I kind of miss the seasons and the “nowness” of the east coast.
