Contribute and Collaborate

More than any other aspect of blogging, I love how putting parts of my life on the internet has connected me to new friends all over the world. If you are a fan of Her New Leaf, I would love to work with you!

Bloggers or Aspiring Bloggers

Have an idea for a themed post-a-thon or blogging challenge? Want to start a link-up? Want to trade monthly posts for recurring columns? I am interested in working on collaborative projects that will contribute to the Her New Leaf community, so I would love to hear your creative suggestions for how we could work together. I may also accept contributor posts on the topics of DIY, blogging, or small business. Send me a message with your ideas!

Guest Post Guidelines

  1. Contact me and include a description of your guest post idea. Summarize the topic and include how you think your post would fit with the content of Her New Leaf and how it will appeal to my readers.
  2. Include 2-3 links to posts you have written that are similar in nature to the guest post you are proposing (do not simply include a link to your blog). If applicable, include at least one example of a guest or contributor post you have written for another blog.
  3. If you would like your post to appear on or around a specific date (such as to promote a new shop or product), please include the necessary information.
  4. All images must be your own.

Handmade or Small Business Owners

I love to support small businesses, especially those producing handmade, artisan products. Even if you can’t find the budget to advertise with Her New Leaf, I would still love to help get the word out about your fabulous products. First of all, introduce yourself and tell me about what you do. I am looking to begin featuring handmade products in a recurring round-up feature, and I would love to see yours! You may also consider contributing a guest post to be featured on Her New Leaf. Some topics that may work for artisans: a DIY tutorial involving your products, a tour of your studio, an outline of your creative process, or tips for other business owners. Shop owner guest posts are also subject to the guest post guidelines listed above.

Brands or Larger Businesses

I am always open to hearing creative ideas for collaboration with brands beyond traditional ads or affiliate links! Want to provide a new craft supply product to be used in a DIY tutorial? Have an idea for an article I might be well-suited to write for your company’s website? I would love to hear ideas for how your brand can help support the Her New Leaf community. Get in contact, I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello lovely! I’m Rin & as you can see from my blog my “thing” is letter writing – I stumbled across your blog via pinterest & fell in love :) – I was wondering if you’d like to exchange a couple of letters/play mail tag.. Because what’s better than getting a hand written note in the post!!
Have a wonderful day! Xo

hi kira.
would you ever make a tutorial about how to DIY a dolman shirt from an over-sized shirt? or maybe reconstructing pajama pants into a skirt? i’ve been looking for hours about these two but they were hard to follow.

Hi Alexandra! I don’t do sewing tutorials because I don’t know how and don’t own a sewing machine – maybe someday I’ll learn! In the meantime, you can check out my two favorite sewing blogs: Cotton & Curls and One Little Minute. Maybe they would take a tutorial request?
